I Have Always Loved To Paint...
From a young age, I have always been drawn to art. Drawing and painting have always felt like home to me, a space where I can express myself and experiment with color and texture. One of my favorite pieces I have created is this acrylic painting of a beaver, which let me play with rich browns, fine details, and a bit of whimsy. The piece reflects my love for nature, reminding me why art has always been such a meaningful part of my life.
Flamingo and Beaver Storybook Illustration
This watercolor illustration captures a sweet moment between a beaver and a flamingo sharing a cupcake, blending gentle storytelling with playful imagination. Flamingos are my favorite animal and often find their way into my work, so including one here felt natural and meaningful. Watercolor has always been my favorite medium, and this piece let me explore soft textures, layered washes, and expressive details. It is one of my proudest pieces because it began as a concept I developed myself, using reference photos for accuracy, but ultimately creating a completely original scene that feels both charming and personal.
Frolicking Flamingo
Frolicking Flamingo is a vibrant acrylic painting that captures the lively motion and joyful spirit of a flamingo splashing through water. Bold strokes and energetic bursts of color bring the feathers to life, while layers of texture and scattered droplets create a sense of movement that feels almost cinematic. This piece celebrates elegance, personality, and playful charm.
Where It All Began...
This black-and-white pencil drawing of a chickadee marks the very beginning of my art journey. It was one of the first pieces where I truly fell in love with drawing. especially birds, which became an early source of inspiration and exploration. Even in its simplicity, this sketch captures the curiosity and care I felt as I learned to study form, texture, and detail. Looking back, it represents the moment I realized how much joy creating art brought me, and it remains a meaningful reminder of where it all started.
